Punk Artists
Stomp The Dog
Stomp the Dog are a punk rock trio from the northern suburbs of Adelaide. Dylan on vocals, Cody on Bass & BV’s and Brendon on Drums & BV’s and are the perfect mix of energy you don’t want to miss live. Their style of punk is put together with small riffs, fast paced power chords, a thumping bass line and at times some wild off beats which all help create the scenario for the listener. Not all of their songs are made up of the usual 3 chord progressions you find within most punk rock music which has them be almost alternative punk rock. They have some hard hitting tunes that more or less illustrate their inspiration from Grinspoon in their early days. The lyrics in their songs are at times quite tongue in cheek as well as a couple of songs that are more on the serious side of life. STD’s stage presence has been the talking point at every gig they do, they have a lot of fun running around the stage and interacting with the crowd. They suit punk rock because it defies the constraints of all other styles of music and it’s the ‘I don’t care’ Punk attitude that gives them the freedom to show people who they really are and what they’re about without worrying whether what they are doing is ‘right’. The stage performance they put on always has the crowd yelling their lyrics back to them in a frenzie.
